Jack Pine Lumberjack Shows have opened for the season. The shows highlight lumberjacks competing in traditional events such as log rolling, pole climbing, axe throwing, crosscut sawing, chopping and chainsaw carving. The family oriented entertainment features Dan McDonough nine-time logrolling world champion.  McDonough won international events in Australia, Vancouver B. C. and the Greenfield Nova Scotia Canadian Championships. He has been performing throughout the United States since 1979.

Located 1.5 miles south of Mackinaw City on US-23.  Performances run Monday through Saturday at 7 pm, Wednesday and Saturday also at 2 pm. Rain or Shine as the grounds feature a covered grandstand.  Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors. $7 for children 14 and under. Children 3 and under are free.

McDonough says that "Mackinaw City is an ideal location because the area is steeped in lumberjack legends and history. I look forward to bringing some of that history to life with our Shows." For additional information on Jack Pine Lumberjack Shows:
