2009 Winterfest was a grand successWe had a record number of out of town visitors who not only drove but also came by snowmobile. Despite the bitter cold we had great participation in all of our events. We again thank the community volunteers, businesses and sponsors who continually make this a valued winter event. Thank you to our committee chairs which include Big G, Matt Cooley and friends - winter prep and the outhouse race, Greg Vieau and village partners for the snow blocks and children's slide. Lisa Halleck and the women of the American Legion for the chili cookoff, Jen Smith and helpers at the poker walk. Mackinaw Area Visitor's Bureau for the snow sculptor awards, Kathleen Barger for the kids games, Diane Fry for the Euchre Tournament and, the Chamber of Commerce coordinators and volunteers. |
