News from Cheboygan Opera House:
On Saturday, February 21 The Opera House was host to "Northern Michigan Has Talent," a local talent show.  Fifteen outstanding acts were featured on that cold, snowy evening to a large appreciative audience.  Serving on the Talent Show Panel were Lloyd Fell, Dan Hall, Deb Mesler and Randy Elliot.  The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Vic McCarty of WMKT Radio, host of the Vic McCarty Talk Show.  Following the last contestant, entertainment was provided by Dan Hall while the audience ballots were counted.

The winners for this year's talent show were: First Place - Melissa Oldham, Cheboygan, doing Hoop Dancing and Flag Poi; Second Place - Danielle Petingalo, Kinchloe, singing "Settlin"; and Third Place - "Cheboygan Shock", Cheboygan, Competitive Cheering.

Cash awards were given for the top three finalists.  The entire evening was well received by the audience, who chose the winners by written ballots.  The Panel interviewed each contestant following their performance to learn more about their background and their art form.  The Opera House would like to express their appreciation to all the participants and the many audience members who came out to support this fund raiser.  Look for announcements for next year's show and join the fun next year when we again discover that "Northern Michigan Has Talent."
