Friday, December 2

Parade - This is a go regardless of weather.

4:45 PM, the annual tree lighting procession line up at the Marina parking lot
5:00 PM, The parade of caroler wagons, walkers, decorated vehicles and City Trucks will honk and sing to the community Christmas tree at Indian Pathways Park. Santa has candy canes for all. Parade will go north on Huron to Central Ave, west on Central Ave to Nicolet Street and Indian Pathways Park.

Come be a part of the "Tacky Tinsel Town Car Parade," keep warm, and follow the carolers! (Just decorate your car for the holidays & win a really "Tacky Prize".) Categories include Grand Tacky, Mostly Tacky, Ha Ha Ho Ho, Tinsel Tune or Tinsel Town and Northern Lights awards.

5:15 PM, Schedule at Indian Pathways Park: Community blessing, the Mayor leads in the count down, Santa’s magic to light the tree, community bird seed ornament tree decorating and an old fashion carols sing.

5:30 PM, All are invited to proceed to Jim Wehr's Mackinaw Outfitters in the Mackinaw Crossings Mall for tacky award presentations, children can color an ornament to take home, and enjoy cocoa and cookies with The Elves and Santa Claus. Santa will hand out a special gift to the children.

Saturday, December 3

10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Shop and dine all around Mackinaw City! Enjoy a movie at Courtyard Cinema. McGulpin Point Lighthouse is “Decking the Halls” with tours, refreshments, and Sleigh Rides from Noon to 3PM.

Sunday, December 4

Hear the story of the white and gold Chrismon Tree- which means Christ’s Monogram - 10:30 am at the Church of the Straits. Enjoy Christmas shopping and dining.

Thursday, Dec 8 at 6:30pm Mackinaw City School Christmas Concert. (Snow date - Dec 13)
Sunday December 11 at 2:00pm Church of the Straits Hosts the Community Cantata Choir performing ”Shout the Good News ’” Christmas Messengers in Scripture and Song- directed by Gussie Williams.
Sunday December 18 at 6:00pm Mackinaw Bible Church presents their annual Christmas program.
