Mighty Mac Golf Outing July 29 at the Mackinaw Club

There are still openings for your 4 person team! The annual Mighty Mac Golf outing is Tuesday, July 29. It will be a 1:00pm shotgun start at the Mackinaw Club. Pick your own team of 4. Men’s Woman’s and Mixed (must have at least two women). The Outing includes golf games, $500.00 first hole in one, drink tickets and goodie bags. Awards to be given out at the BBQ sandwich supper buffet.

Sponsorships and door prizes are still being accepted. Registration deadline Thursday July 21.  Team fee $275.00. We accept checks or credit cards. Enjoy the beautiful golf course of the Mackinaw Club and the Rogala family hospitality. Call the Chamber office for the application. 231 436-5574

Guest Complaint Policy and Forms are available at both Chamber of Commerce offices and by clicking on the link to the  policy & or  form.  Overall area complaints have been on the decline in the past 4 years.  Keep up the good work!  Happy guests return time and time again.

Jack Pine Lumberjack Shows have opened for the season. The shows highlight lumberjacks mack_newsl_lumberjack200competing in traditional events such as log rolling, pole climbing, axe throwing, crosscut sawing, chopping and chainsaw carving. The family oriented entertainment features Dan McDonough nine-time logrolling world champion.  McDonough won international events in Australia, Vancouver B. C. and the Greenfield Nova Scotia Canadian Championships. He has been performing throughout the United States since 1979.

Located 1.5 miles south of Mackinaw City on US-23.  Performances run Monday through Saturday at 7 pm, Wednesday and Saturday also at 2 pm. Rain or Shine as the grounds feature a covered grandstand.  Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors. $7 for children 14 and under. Children 3 and under are free.

McDonough says that “Mackinaw City is an ideal location because the area is steeped in lumberjack legends and history. I look forward to bringing some of that history to life with our Shows.” For additional information on Jack Pine Lumberjack Shows:

The postmaster of Mackinaw City requests all businesses and residents get your mail prior to the 12:30 lunch hour.  After 1:30 they have a staff of one.

The Mackinaw City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors support the need for a business ordinance as proposed by the Village of Mackinaw City.  The C of C Board of Directors requests that you attend this meeting with all your questions or concerns on Wednesday , August  23rd;  7 pm at the Mackinaw City Public School.
