Getting Married in the Mackinaw Area

Michigan Marriage Requirements:
Individuals must be 18 years old to obtain a marriage license and at least 16 with parental consent. No medical exam is required but AIDS counseling is required and a certificate must be obtained. There is a three day waiting period. License is valid for 30 days. There are no residency requirements and marriage is valid anywhere in the state of Michigan.
If you are a resident of Michigan, you must obtain a marriage license in the county that you reside in. A birth certificate and driver license must be presented. Either bride or groom must be present with all the information.
For out of state residents, you must obtain a marriage license in the county that you are getting married in. The following counties listed are counties in the Straits Area.
