Saturday, June 19 Song of the Lakes
A group that delights audience of all ages with their Great Lakes music program celebrating the wonders of the sweetwater seas. Their high energy audience participation program, performed on a wide variety of rare acoustic instruments, mixes song, humor, and history in appreciation for life in Michigan.
Saturday, June 26 The Banjo Picker and Friends
“Earful and eyeful of happy sound and fluid motion on the banjo! Old folk tunes, swing, bluegrass, rockabilly, old rock, country, Dixieland, spiritual and homemade “songs of Michigan”. Clean, family oriented, tow-tapping fun. Perfect for any event.
Saturday, July 3 New Reformation Jazz Band
In its 40 years, Michigan’s own, nationally known, New Reformation Jazz Band has given thousands of performances worldwide, playing classic jazz (Dixieland, swing, big band, blues, ragtime) considered by many to be America’s only original art form. The band has played with symphony orchestras, at jazz festivals, on cruise ships, and in churches and concert halls.
Saturday, July 10 Oktoben German Band
The German Band performs a variety of music including marches, ethnic folk songs and dances like the Scottish, waltz and polka. Programs are narrated in German and English with a brief background on each selection. The instrumentalists are Michigan music educators who teach in the public schools, universities and private studios.
Saturday, July 17 Huron Shores Chorus
Barbershop Chorus with 15+ voices from Alpena. Two quartets, the Mariners and Chord Order, will be featured during the performance.

A percussion group from the Flint Institute of Performing Arts.
Sunday, July 25 Air National Guard Band of the Northwest
A traditional military concert band of 35 personnel comprised of some of the finest musicians in the United States Air Force. They have performed for numerous dignitaries across the country and in Europe. They can also perform as a 20 piece jazz band, a 10 piece rock band, and several small chamber ensembles showcasing their versatility and flexibility.
Saturday, July 31 St. Ignace Saints Steel Band
15 High School students from LaSalle High School and 12 Adults from the community of St. Ignace perform on steel drums.
Friday, August 6 Dance North
A showcase of Michigan youth performing dance techniques learned at a “summer intensive,” taught by professional dancers from New York City.
Saturday, August 7 5th Michigan Regiment Band
Bringing history of the Civil War era alive through the authentic historical recreation of a Civil War Regiment “field” band. The band’s repertoire of pre-1865 compositions is performed on antique and replica saxhorns and wood rope tension drums. Performance includes music and narration describing the music, the instruments, attire, flags and customs of the era.
Saturday, August 14 Suzanne and Jim 
Suzanne and Jim have entertained audiences across the United States with a passion that is quickly gaining a nationwide reputation. With Jim’s award-winning claw-hammer-style banjo picking and Suzanne’s powerful, rich singing, this delightful duo sets the stage for a trip back to the heart of Americana Roots Music. The duo’s performance is presented in an engaging, informative style. With expert picking and singing, a smattering of spoons and homespun humor…it all adds up to an unforgettable good time.
Saturday, August 21 Grand Traverse Chorus of Sweet Adelines
Chartered in 1954, the Grand Traverse Chorus is comprised of a group of women of all ages, interests and occupations sharing the common bond of the love of singing and performing. Sweet Adelines International is a highly respected worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.
Saturday, September 4 Northern Michigan Brass Band
Now in its 12th year of operation, this 27 piece, British-style ensemble is an all-volunteer band which had attracted adult brass players from across Northern Michigan from Alpena to Traverse City and north to Mackinaw City. Since the band was formed in 1999, they have presented more than 60 concerts in various
venues throughout Northern Michigan.
