Lion’s Club of Mackinaw City

The Lions Club of Mackinaw City was chartered September 16, 1947.  We currently have 41 members and are always looking for men and women interested in serving their community and beyond.  The Lions Motto “WE SERVE” is indeed alive and well in Mackinaw City.  When you visit our beloved community take a minute and listen to the “Roar” of  The Lions Club of Mackinaw City.

The Lions Club of Mackinaw City meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 6:00 pm at The Lion Dan Russell Building located at 205 Cedar Street.  We are a very friendly club and eagerly look forward to any visiting Lions wishing to attend our meetings.

Goals:

  • to promote and conduct scientific research on the numbers and timing of migration of birds of prey and associated migrants in the Straits of Mackinac region of Michigan;
  • to educate the public about birds of prey and about the importance of the Straits of Mackinac as a migratory pathway;
  • to aid in conserving and protecting the resting and feeding stop-over habitat for birds of prey in the Straits of Mackinac region.
